Senior Source Tackles Senior Isolation with Inaugural Pickleball Smash on March 13 at Pickleball Kingdom North Aurora
Tickets on sale now — proceeds support Kane Senior Council Meals on Wheels and the Fox Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s

NORTH AURORA, IL — February 23, 2026 — On March 13, Senior Source invites the community to the Inaugural Pickleball Smash at Pickleball Kingdom North Aurora—an energizing evening of pickleball, live music, and meaningful connection from 5:00–10:00 PM.

Tickets are $26 in advance (with reduced rates for children under 12 and seniors 60+), $36 the week of the event, and $40 at the door. Tickets are available here:
https://buytickets.at/seniorsourceseniorlivingadvisors

The event brings seniors, families, and local businesses together across Kane County to address one of the most overlooked challenges facing older adults today: social isolation. An estimated 1 in 4 adults age 65+ experiences isolation—an issue linked to higher risks of depression, cognitive decline, and serious health complications. Rather than hosting a traditional fundraiser, organizers designed an experience centered on movement, community, and belonging.

“Senior isolation is real, and it’s often invisible,” said Brad Esposito, founder of Senior Source. “We wanted to create something welcoming and energizing—where people could show up, get moving, and feel part of something meaningful. Pickleball is the fun part, but connection is the point.”

The event is open to all skill levels and will feature:
• Beginner-friendly “Pickleball 101” instruction from professionals Macey Brooks and General Manager Jonny “Storm” Bradford
• Open recreational play
• Live music by The Harry Garner Band featuring blues guitarist J.R. Wydra
• Sponsor tables from local health and service businesses
• Opportunities to engage with senior-focused community resources
• Raffles, including a grand prize of one (1) full-year adult membership

The event is co-organized by Laura Murray of Well Thinking and supported by local small businesses including Totum Health, Strongoo, Avatar Aesthetics, Fairway Mortgage (Scott Gajewski), Sugar Shift Solutions, Salt & Pepper Consulting, Lakeshore Financial Group (Sam Audy), and more.

Sponsorship tables are available for $100. Senior Source will donate a portion of net proceeds to the Fox Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s and the Kane Senior Council, supporting local senior and caregiver initiatives. To sponsor the event or donate, contact Brad Esposito at [email protected].

The story behind the event

Seniors don’t just need care — they need connection.

Senior isolation is one of the most overlooked problems families face. As people age, circles shrink. Friends pass. Driving becomes harder. Days get quieter. And for many families, it happens slowly… until it suddenly feels urgent.

We created this event as a simple, positive answer: bring people together.

Pickleball is the vehicle — but the purpose is bigger. It’s approachable, social, and fun, which makes it the perfect bridge between community and cause. This is an evening designed to build relationships, connect families to local resources, and rally local businesses around the people who built this community.

Proceeds support local senior impact efforts, including Kane Senior Council Meals on Wheels and the Fox Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s, helping strengthen the network that supports seniors — and the families who love them.

“Pickleball is the fun part. Connection is the point — and seniors are the reason.”
