Why I Started Senior Source™

My journey into senior services began long before it became a business.

Growing up, my grandparents were everything to me—role models, guides, and some of my closest companions. As they grew older, my family suddenly faced difficult questions: Where should they go? Who could we trust? What type of care did they really need? And how would we pay for it?

We did not have clear answers, and the process quickly became overwhelming.

That experience stayed with me. It showed me how many families arrive at the same emotional crossroads—often with limited time, unfamiliar choices, and no clear person helping them see the whole picture. I started Senior Source™ to become the resource my own family needed during that time.

Today, I help families understand senior-care options, identify the appropriate level of support, compare senior living communities, and move forward with a clearer plan. When the home, belongings, or moving process becomes part of the transition, I can also help families connect with trusted local resources and coordinate the practical next steps.

My background in project management, business, and real estate allows me to see more than one piece of the transition. My role is to help bring those pieces together so families feel less overwhelmed and more confident about the decisions ahead.

This work is not only professional—it is deeply personal. It is about honoring the people who raised us and making sure families do not have to navigate one of life’s most difficult transitions alone.

Senior Source™ was built to offer families more support, less guesswork, and a clear, compassionate path forward. I have experienced the uncertainty that comes with these decisions, and I am here to help families take the next step with greater clarity and confidence.

Community involvement is not separate from my work—it is an important part of why I do it. I currently serve as Executive Leadership Chair for the Fox Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Co-President of Central Kane County TRIAD, and Vice President of the Fox Valley Chapter of Illinois Continuity of Care. I also volunteer with Meals on Wheels through Kane Senior Council and meet weekly with local civic and business leaders who are committed to strengthening the community.

For more than six years, I have participated in a Vistage peer advisory board alongside approximately 25 local business owners and C-suite executives. That experience continues to challenge me to grow as a leader, think more thoughtfully, and bring stronger ideas back to the families and communities I serve.

Above all, my family remains my greatest priority. I try to use my time, experience, relationships, and voice in ways that genuinely help others—and that is the standard I want Senior Source™ to reflect.
